Transmission Fluid in Cooling system

Danielc1234 28 January 2005 05:37:06
I have a 97 VW Passat and am in a mess. There is transmission fluid in
my cooling system. The transmission is slipping and the car wont run. I
took it to a shop and they replaced all the hoses and said it was
fixed, but the next day, it was the exact same problem. Has anyone ever
had this problem before? And could someone recommend what I should
do...thanks Daniel

I have a 93 chevy conversion van. without any reason the ac stopped working at the same time we found some kind of oil in the radiator holding tank. what could be the problem. there is no water in the trans. or oil. do these 2 things go together or just a coincidence?

If the trans coolent lines go into the radiator. Then you need a new radiator.

those lines that run into the radiator must have broken and now you have in internal radiator leak, so james E you are very correct
