it because his news-server or news-reader filtered it out. He also posted
his response to this group only which makes it very unlikely that the

we don't don't have the freedom to add our commentary to whatever existing

things have changed in this unmoderated forum for the bad, in my opinion.

I have my news reader (AGENT) set to not DL crossposted messages. It
still does. Am I doing something wrong with Agent, or is it just
impossible for the program to do?

I get the same (message that this thread was started about) on all of
my newsgroups to which I subscribe.

Any help with that ?????

Is there any truth to the rumor that on Good Friday Jesus moved the
stone and came out of the cave, saw his shadow and thus they had 6
more weeks of winter ?

No. What really happened that Jesus was trying to
rest, and have a quiet morning, after some recent
stressful events.

Then, he heard a loud, insistent pounding outside the
cave entrance. It was so annoying that he was roused,
and answered the door. Which was a big rock, seemingly
an odd choice. But he was trying to keep a low profile
due to some gubmint/police harassment, and he thought
that a stone door would suggest, "Resident here is NOT
that carpenter who is in trouble."

Anyway, Jesus was really annoyed to discover that his
peace and quiet was being disturbed by some pushy
christian missionaries (JWs, Mormons, whatever...)

So he slammed the door, and hasn't been heard from
since.

You're thinking of Santa Claus.

You're thinking of Santa Claus.

No. Here's the REAL story:

Three intellectually challenged men went to Heaven. St. Peter gave them an
entrance exam. He asked the first moron, "What is Easter?"

He answered, "Oh, that's easy. It's in November and we all eat turkey..."

"Wrong," St. Peter said. "You can't come in." He asked the second guy, "What
is Easter?"

"Oh, that's in December, when we celebrate the birth of Christ, and exchange
gifts, and eat lots of turkey."

"No, no," St. Peter said, looking discouraged. He turned to the third moron
and said, "Can you tell me what Easter is?"

"Of course," he said. "Jesus was crucified by the Romans. They nailed him to
the cross, made him wear a crown of thorns, and pierced his side. His friends
buried him in a cave and sealed it with a stone."

"Excellent," St. Peter said. "Go on."

"On Easter, they roll away the stone, and Jesus rises. If he sees his shadow,
we'll have six more weeks of winter."

Of course. He who ought to remain nameless has returned after a months-long
absence and there are new faces and missing old faces. Do you have another
name that I'd know? Been a while since I read the bicycle group(s)...

Sometimes I wonder what freak of creation entitled us to an existence in
the first place.<
Remember the dinosaurs lasted millions of years. We are intelligent and

often wonder what's next?

 Wasn't it cockroaches?
Apparently they can live through extremely high levels of radiation and
toxic pollution......except for a decent dose of insecticide, of course! :)

Invertibrate animals, including insects, were around long before the
dinosaurs, during the time of the dinosaurs, and now. They are far more
numerous than us...one might say that now is their time already.

In spite of some signs of intelligence spiders and rats are not very bright.
But then apparently they are not the ones who are mystified either. Studies
do show however that spiders, rats and researchers all demonstrate a much
heighten sense of awareness when set on fire. Bruce
