Bus undercoating??

Eric Desrochers 6 March 2005 02:04:14
Hello! I finally fetched a 1974 camper bus!

I'd like to know what treatment is recommanded for the bare
undercarriage. Paint (what kind?), undecoating with some kind of tar
stuff, rust proofing oil treatment (the oil that drips or the oil that
don't ?)

Thanks!

Someone is going to pipe up with POR, but for the underside good old soft
undercoating works best because it covers better and doesn't chip. That's
my two-bits worth.

On my Beetle I did both. I think that the combination of both provides very good protection.
