1999 4Runner Motorized Antenna - No Worky

	Finally had something go bad on me... I'd like to fix it myself but PLEASE tell me it isn't as painful as this article depicts..... http://www.4runners.org/articles/whip/ I'm not against installing a whip antenna like this article shows. Has anybody here done it and can a non-mechanic like myelf do it?! Can I just yank out what I have and use a wire clothes hanger instead?!

If they are the same, insert the new mast through the top screw on part and then insert into hole until it cant go in any then turn off the radio. This should pull the new mast in to the motor winder and when its at the bottom you can screw the top part back on and your away. Let me know how ya go eh.
