OT: S&P hits yearly low

ToMh 14 April 2005 22:56:03
Thanks George "Hoover" Bush. I guess the administration
is happy as long as the oil companies get their record profits
and the rich get their tax cuts. Look for some tail waging.
Pretty scary thinking we have four more years of these idiots
running the country.

Were you this concerned in 2000, the worst year in Nasdaq history?

See ENRON.

I researched it -- there were only two ENRON employees who made
donations to the DNC -- and hundreds who made contributions to the RNC.

Same with the now-defunct ENRON PAC -- almost all of their money went
to GWB. Below is a small slice of the data.

Of course, but what does that have to do with Bush's economic

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

Seriously, the economic downturn was due to Clinton's policies. In
case you didn't notice, HE was president when the economy started
its nosedive.

Bush had that AND 9/11 to contend with simultaneously. Trying to
blame him for any economic woes is quite impossible and futile.

Hahahahaha, I knew you'd somehow blame Clinton. Are you that
thick? What the hell does any of that have to do with the current failed
Bush policies for economic recovory? You know, the plan to get
the economy back on track. I don't think Clinton has been consulted
by this administration.

Okay, let me guess: The period of relative prosperity and budget surpluses
during the eight years of Clinton's administration was a result of Bush,
Sr.'s policies?

BTW, I'm watching Jane Fonda on CSPN, speaking before the National Press
Club recently. It's actually difficult to watch her. I'm feeling a
bit sorry for her and I think some there might feel a bit uncomfortable.
Sad.

On the other hand, she is an actor and wants to show her passion, I
guess. ......whatever, LOL.

Did he just refer to the right as....independent thinkers? HAH HAH HAH, that
has to be the funniest thing I have EVER heard. Go into a Republican forum
once and notice how they are a bunch of lemmings all blabbing about the same
thing, no diverse make up at all, and any time /anyone/ even another
republican / conservative disagrees with the mainstream they SHUT THE THREAD
DOWN, lock it and give it a bad title and then BAN the user. On the contrary
go to a democratic forum and look at the diverse opinions often people
getting into intelligent discussions working out issues in detail, its black
and white. The religious RIGHTIES are a good example of how gullible the
right is these days, spoon fed? shovel fed.

Independent thinkers....genius.

It's so funny how often the Reps blame the previous Dem president for all

BTW, what does Jane Fonda have to do with the S&P hitting a yearly low?

I guess because she was against a war 40 years ago, she must have affected
the S&P index today, is that it?

Were you this concerned in 2000, the worst year in Nasdaq history?

Nasdaq is about to take a serious pounding at opening bell tomorrow.

I'd say I was concerned, but regardless of what happened in the '04
presidential election, I have faith in Americans' sense of long term
good judgement. The times will change again.

Oh yeah then there's ENRON.

wrong. NEVER admit error.

An old Internet axiom says, "Web-TV is for people who can't figure out
AOL."

I've now encountered the exception to that I.Q. indicator.

The Medal of Honor is awarded to service people...

The President, in the name of Congress, has awarded more than 3,400
Medals of Honor to our nation's bravest Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen,
Marines, and Coast Guardsmen since the decoration's creation in 1861.

For years, the citations highlighting these acts of bravery and
heroism resided in dusty archives and only sporadically were printed.
In 1973, the U.S. Senate ordered the citations compiled and printed as
Committee on Veterans' Affairs, U.S. Senate, Medal of Honor
Recipients: 1863-1973 (Washington, D.C.: Government Printing Office,
1973). This book was later updated and reprinted in 1979.
The breakdown of these is a duplicate of that in the congressional
compilation. Likewise, some minor misspelling and other errors are
duplicated from the official government volume. These likely were the
result of the original transcriptions. The following is an index of
the full-text files by war.

My mistake..... the bozo's were awarded the Medal of Freedom (not the Medal
of Honor) by the chief bozo.

Thank you for pointing out my error. The Medal of Honor is saved for true
heroes.

Crap Art, she's an actor and a Democrat. By now everybody is seeing
what these people for what they really are. Her passion, and her
apologizing for her misjudgment? Why now? There's an article in the

Anybody with even the slightest amount of knowledge regarding owning
stock would know there are up and down times. As fast as stocks go down
they come up. Why hell, just the other day the Dow was flirting with
11000 and now I see yesterday it's flirting with 9999. Now is an
excellent time to buy more stock, IF one were smart which is not always
the case. In any event you don't sell. Only fools sell when the market
turns down.

bush's cause 'Nintendo' is probably closer. Speaking of hi-tech, I hear bush
has learned how to operate an I-Pod as long as momma keeps it charged for

A paper tiger that gave over $1,000,000.00 in squandered pension fund
money to GWB and his neocon cronies.

Think the pols who benefited from Enron's crookery (such as Cheney,
DeLay, and Bush) will ever pay that money back to the little people who
lost all their retirement savings?
