Er --> "Everyone is talking about how to reduce car use" !?!??!

Who on earth is talking about that ?

Most of the villages around me, have no public transport, and it's a good 10
miles to the nearest town.
NONE of the folk local to me, are talking about "reducing car use" !

Transport2000 : You are a bunch of dumbasses.

Just noticed they're being sexists.

They say that Top Gear doesn't cater for women drivers, that's sexist. It
caters for people who drive enthusiastically, but to typify that as "everyone
but women" is sexist and ignores the contribution of Vicky Whatshername who
certainly shows that women can drive properly as well, and doesn't exclude the
entire staff of Transport2000 who we can be reasonably confident, don't even
drive as well (or enthusiatically) as an elderly nun in a split-screen Morris
Minor with the Mother Superior in the back.

Yep, Clarkson would drive a bus everyday as his main vehicle, while not
accepting passangers of anykind, just to pissoff T2k.

I can just see the headline. "Look", said Mr Clarkson, "I'm
environmentally friendly now I use the bus, and I don't need to share
with some smelly hippy environmentalist".

Didn't they put a nun in a monster truck and teach gannies to donut?
If that isn't catering to the female viewer, what is.
And if all else fails, I've been told all women want to mother Hammond,
at least I think it was mother they said.

I'm with that. If I sold some of my cars I'd have room on my drive for one.
Would need to cut down some trees to get the required turning circle but it's
for the environment.

If I lived in London it would pay for it's self in no time. Going to buy one and
drive to London every day just to get my moneys worth and do my bit for the
environment by doing 330 miles a day by bus.

(I don't believe this crap, the "Think!" people have got to multimap 109 miles
on the average speed 62mph and " Time for a break. Find a safe place to stop.

What else have you chosen ?

Not much, only got the 911 and the Interceptor today.

Interceptor in ok, apart from needing setting up.... spitting flames out of
the Heeyyyyuge Holley 4 barrel on a petrol station forecourt was a "moment"
we didn't need, especially as the tanker was there re-filling the station..
7.2 V8s are a bit thirsty...

They are a pain to push when they aren't running though that sleek shape doesn't
give much grip and the sharp bumpers make nice long bruises on your legs. Get a
DB5 instead much nicer to push.

We've nearly bought a couple of DB6s, but the running costs and repair bills
are truly fucking frightening.

If it all catches on, then they're on the cards, until then, it's sensible
[1] but amusing stuff.

[1] Ok, so a 7.2 Interceptor isn't exactly sensible, at least the running
gear is plentiful and easy to fix.
