Mr Clean Autodry filter

Woohoo 16 April 2005 05:08:08
My "Mr Clean Autodry" works excellently but noticed the replacement filters
say "Replace filter when window turns brown".
I checked 5 stores and the windows on ALL the filters on the shelf are ALL
brown so I didn't buy it! Anyone else notice this?

Yes, I did notice that. I really like this product. I bought a
few bran-new filter and then noticed that the window "was brown".
I still used it and it seem to work perfectly. I cannot say,
however, if the filter is "chanring colour": It always looks
brown. Even after 15 wash. The only way I konw it does not work
is when, well, it does not work, which is approx. after every 10
wash.

GO figure.

Anybody else noticed this?

Really? It's a really dark brown - almost black. When it's
depleted, it turns into a considerably lighter brown. I could
almost see a line where it was still really dark, and part of
it turned a lighter brown. It kind of moves along the filter
in this way, and eventually reaches the little window.

Ha! So you are telling me that the natural (unused) colour is
dark brown/black and when it becomes saturated, it becomes light
brown? I will check it out. Thanks!

When it says "brown," it means a light brown that you wouldn't ever
mistake for black like the dark brown of a new filter. You'll KNOW when
it has changed, its very obvious.
