I've spent more than a few nights sleeping in vehicles.
They did not have internet connections though.
Best thing to do is visibly look for leaks. Check fittings, look for
drips, move hoses and sniff, check exhaust flanges, etc.
Can you move the vehicle so that the engine is downwind?

Sounds more like poor diet (fast food?) or the after effects
of mood altering substances.

You don't say anything about the age or model of vehicle.
Look under the hood for the round charcoal canister, likely on the
driver's side, with hoses comming out of it. It's supposed to trap gas
fumes. Check that the hoses are all plugged in tight.
