95 mazda protege DX Air/fuel problem?

Pizzamaker610 27 January 2005 11:24:55
i own a 1995 mazda protege dx, bought it cheap knew there where problems,
fixed most of them, this one has got me completely dumbfounded though...on
a full tank the car runs perfect, however get below 3/4of a tank and try
making a right turn, and the car stalls out, still is on but there is no
power. it takes about 3-4seconds to catch itself and be driveable again,
which leaves 4seconds of sitting still, or almost sitting still...not all
that safe if you ask me. i thought it might be something with the air
fuel, but everything in the intake seems ok...anyone ever had this happen
or a similar problem? responces would be greatly appericated

Do you have water in your fuel tank that is moving over the fuel pump
intake when you take a turn? I don't know where the fuel pump intake
is on your particular car. Does water have more density than
gasoline? I think so. I think gasoline floats on water. I think
when you take a turn you send water to your engine instead of fuel,
and when you level off the water is out of the way and fuel goes to
the engine.

This is magical thinking, I have no way to know, but I bet you have
condensed water in your fuel that has pooled on the bottom the tank.
Get it out with HEET. Add as directed at each fuel-up.

This is magical thinking, but it is all that comes to mind.
