cruise vacuum ball on 90 burb

No body 26 January 2005 07:34:11
 Hi all,

I have a 90 suburban and the cruise control vacuum ball is cracked. I've hit
every wrecking yard near by but can't find a replacement.

Is there an aftermarket place to get it or is it dealer only?

Thx

Get one from something else, ford & older vw's use em. Mount it where
it fits, run an extended vacuum line to it, have a nice day. All they
accomplish is a resivoiur function so size & shape don't matter. Good
luck.

If you wish to buy new & locally, for ~$10 u can get one from a shop
that sells/installs after-mkt. cruise controls. s

Are you saying that junkyards which normally do have parts for that vehicle
are all out of the vacuum balls? That would make me suspect that the
factory balls are no good.

A ball from another model car should be just as good, as long as the hoses
fit. You might have to use a little duct tape to secure it if it doesn't
fit the mounts.
