Retorque head?

 I just installed a used head on a 6 cyc. I still have to adjust the valves and
was thinking I should retorque the head and the manifold while I have the valve
cover off (difficult to get to) however my Chilton repair book does not mention
retorquing.
Also how long should the engine (miles/minutes/temp­?) run before I retorque,
after its cooled?

 You are supposed to torque it in stages in the first place, no retorque
is called for.
