Carby Jet Removal

Hemyd 26 January 2005 05:15:04
I have an old car with a low speed jet which is probably damaged (Darwin
award stuff, so I won't go into how it happened). This is the primary barrel
of a twin barrel carby. I am trying to remove the jet and replace it. I can
easily unscrew the cover, but I cannot budge the jet screw. It is made of
brass and the slot starts bending when I try to unscrew it. I've tried
tapping it and used WD40, but no go. Is there any other method I can try?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Henry.

Hold a dab of dry ice against the jet (jet only) for a minute or two.

You can't 'idiot proof' anything....every time you try, they just make
better idiots.
