| RE: Re: Vibe DDragon 18:05:03 |
| | i have an 03 GT also, it redlines at 8100 actually if u want to see the complete vibe gt stats and specs, goto http://members.cardomain.com/draziwdragon and look at my site. ive been in with body defects with mine, but nothing mechanical or electrical. my roof rack molding was bent and my window trip was coming up, but i think the previous owner did those things , it was a female smoker, who put 3k miles on it, by the time i got the car, it was 4,950 miles its now at 22k and no problems, except the catilitic convertor smells likes sulfer on cold days when its warming up.20 minute trip on highway fixes that though.
i think the cat was clogged by the dealer and previous owner from putting cheap gas in it. the gt and matrix xrs r the same car and require 93 octane, any less and ull get stalling and engine knocks, and smells.

| Pontiac G6 Couple Squeak Jg 04:19:18 |
| | I have a 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP Coupe. After about 8 months, the car developed a high pitched squeaking noise that occurs primarily when traveling at speeds of 5-45 mph over slightly wavy/ripply pavement. It seems like it is something in the suspension, but the dealer says they could not reproduce it. Anybody else heard of this problem?

| | My son just purchased a 95 sunfire gt. and the check oil light comes on after starting some times and stays on. the manual says that it is from parking on slope. he parks on such small slope you wouldnt think this would be a problem. Is this light reporting someother prob. or is there a way to make it less senistive or get it to go off after starting without stopping and turning off car. any help on this would be appreciated
thanks

| 02 Pontiac Grand Prix windshield wipers Guest 00:57:49 |
| | Does anyone know of a problem with windshield wipers on this car. They were fine and one day it snowed and the car had been turned off with them in the up position when the car was turned back on they tried to return to the rest position but the snow was packed so they couldn't and they stayed upright. Now they won't go back down when turned off. They work fine for wiping and when placed on intermittent they rest in the down position but when turned off they come straight up and stay. If you know anything about this please let me know. Thanks |

| Power Steering Fluid M1072 22:28:15 |
| | Does anyone know if there is a specific power steering fluid for a 2001 Grand AM 2.4l? The owners manual lists a GM part #for it but is it just transmission fluid in another bottle? I don't want to have the wrong fluid running there if there is indeed a difference.
TIA

2001 Pontiac Montana Tammy Carpenter 23:11:14 |
| | I have a 2001 Pontiac Montana that acts like there is a short somewhere, for instance sometimes it will not start, and it makes a clicking noise and the guages are moving to the clicking. When I turn the headlight switch it will start and in the mean time the clock has reset itself. Also when the key is turned and not starting there is absolutly NO power within the interior. Any one who has any suggestions would be greatly appreciative. I have been told it could be anything from a relay switch to an electrical short somewhere. Thank you Tammy |

| Heater Hose on 1991 Pontiac 3.1 LE John Bailo 06:26:40 |
| | The heater hose ( water pump to heater coil ) blew on my 1991 Pontiac 3.1 LE.
The hose is a 5/8" that runs from the heater coil, and then near the pump, joins a coupler to a short 3/4" hose that connects to the pump.
The connector sheered at one of the joints. The hose difference didn't seem that great so I jammed the 5/8" hose onto the pump.
Is that connector original equipment?
Someone told me that GM puts "restrictors" in the heater hose to reduce pressure on the heater coil. There was nothing inside the coupler -- is that standard equipment or do you think mechanic added that in?

| 1995 Grand Prix SE Coupe Door Locks.. Bluewhite4 00:07:46 |
| | A few months ago I attempted to put an aftermarket keyless entry system into the car. After getting it all in there and working, something happend (still not sure what to this day) and my power locks quite working kinda.(I have since pulled the keyless system) By kinda I mean that if both doors were shut and shut for about 15-20 seconds, the door looks would work just fine. But if either of the doors is/was open or had just been closed, the power looks wouldn't work. If you shut both doors and hit the unlock or lock button immediately you can hear the system go from doing nothing to struggling, to finially being able to operate. (Almost sounds like it powers up) Additionally the doors quite automatically looking and unlocking when the car was put into drive or shut-off respectfully. I have replaced the chime module, which fixed the automatically locking/unlocking, as well as both door switches. Is it possible that I have a bad pin switch in one or both of the doors? Or could it be something else. Any help is appreciated.

| Engine Vibration on an 01 grand am Guest 19:44:34 |
| | I have an automatic 2001 Grand Am SE Coupe with just under 90k miles on it. I've noticed recently (since 85k) that whenever the car is idling in drive, it vibrates. This isn't normal engine vibration either, there's something going on and I can't figure it out. Here's what I've found so far:
- the car only vibrates when idling in drive, no other gear. - vibrations disappear when the car is put into park or neutral - the vibrations do not start until the car has reached its operating temperature, which is about 180-200 degrees - the vibrations to not change when the air conditioning is turned on or off.
If anyone's experienced this kind of issue with their car or has any insight as to what might be causing it, I would greatly appreciate it. I've asked a pontiac technician of over 10 years over the phone and he's stumped.
