do stuff to qualify that would actually hurt us in race, but they didn't get

"This is our backup car, so I was more concerned about making all
of the right adjustments since this is our backup car versus it being
hotter today or whatever. My guys did a good job as they always do, and
we really knew that when we took our primary engine out of our wrecked
car that it would step up to the occasion, and it sure did. I'm happy
with that, and it's more concern now for the race and hopefully we've
done everything for the race now because we did not get a lot of time on
this car in race trim. With that being said, this is pretty exciting,
so we'll hope for the best tomorrow."

pretty different, the two cars. We worked on getting our car where it
drove really good, and it obviously just lost some speed qualifying by
itself. But, when we had it fast by itself, it was handful all around
other cars. I think once the race starts, it doesn't really matter how
fast your car is by itself. It's more important to be comfortable and
have it driving good in a crowd. That's kind of what we devoted our
focus to, and from running the Gatorade Duel and the Bud Shootout,
it's definitely important to have a car that's driving well."
