Joe Nemechek went out late in the time-trial session to grab the top starting
spot for Saturday's season opening Busch event. Nemechek's lap of
182.452 was tough enough to hold off the young upstarts vying for the
pole position.

"Now I just have to stay out of trouble," said Nemechek. "My car is
better in race trim than it is in qualifying trim. I am just really
excited this is the most excited I have been about racing in a long
time."
