 Weather Washes Qualifying for Southwest Series Event, Defending Champ Pettit

PHOENIX, ARIZ. (January 29, 2005) Weather scored the first victory of 2005
as inclement weather washed out practice and qualifying for the NASCAR
AutoZone Elite Division, Southwest Series at Phoenix International Raceway
Saturday afternoon. Continued showers and a forecast for the same forced
officials from NASCAR and Phoenix International Raceway to postpone the
remainder of the Saturday NASCAR schedule of events until Sunday.
