Dr . C . Lake 9 April 2005 16:13:52
I see Motors TV is giving us just edited highlights from Long Beach and not
until Wednesday (repated 6 times over the next 2 days). Is that all we can
expect this season? I would much prefer to see the whole race even if it was
delayed.
Colin

Subscribe to Race Director at their website and see practise, qualy and the
race live on-line - including multiple camera angles controlled by you.

It isn't all that much and it's something that I would do if I wasn't
getting the race live.

Champ Car has moved back to Eurosport again. All races will be shown live
or delayed on (British) Eurosport or Eurosport 2 (formerly known as the
totally useless Eurosport News channel.)

This weekend's race will be shown live on both British Eurosport and
Eurosport International at 9:45pm CEST / 8:45pm UK, with the green flag
dropping around 10pm CEST.

On this page I'm trying to keep track of all channels airing Champ Car
(either live/delayed or highlights of 45+ minutes) in Europe. Everybody
should bookmark it ;-)

Eurosport[1] shows some of the races live, but most races delayed or
highlighted. And half of it is on Eurosport2, which only a minority can
watch.

There are 5 versions of Eurosport: International, British, French,
German and Nordic. Some shows things which the others don't.

As things are now, 7 are to be live or delayed on Eurosport[1], and 7 on
Eurosport 2 (basically always live since its programming isn't as busy as
the main channel.) It's better than nothing, and while it's most likely not
an improvement for the British audience, in theory most of Europe will be
able to watch Champ Car live again.

I tend to think British Eurosport is more seperated from Eurosport
International than the other country-orientated versions are. Anyway, Long
Beach will be shown live on *all* versions. (Or at least that's the plan...
always be wary with Eurosport. They scheduled 45 minutes of f'ing live
curling for Sunday night before the race. Reminds me of 2003.)

Must confess I didn't watch it, having been watching live motorsport
all day. (FIA GTs from Monza definitely the race of the year so far.)
Sounds like this wasn't a bad one, though. Best driver won again,
anyway <grin.>. Seems Justin Wilson is showing his true form now that
he is with a competitive team as well. Where was Allmendinger? (If you
guys want an American driver to get excited about, watch out for Scott
Speed in GP2 - and perhaps testing for RBR on GP weekends.)

Thanks, I discovered it purely by chance when I was channel hopping on
Sunday evening, just in time to see the green flag.
