Yes, that's a very accurate report on the state of, and
lack of quality and excitement in, OWRS these days.

Why be so closed-minded? Its an accurate description of US OW.

Shhh, DON'T watch the replay were Tony Kanaan tried a pass for the
lead and dan wheldon took advantage and ended up in front... And this
is the first IRL street circuit. One with something like five running
starts and zero turn one crashes. The only fool is tjmc. He lets
hatred color what he sees.

The sad part was ajiv and ed c. Neither should have raced. Marco
should have run AJ IV's car. He'd a been competitive and NOT been
lapped due to inability. Those two were lapped for lack of skill.
Near as I can tell, everyone else had problems with other drivers or
mechanical problems to get them selves lapped.

Hardly. It was an exciting, pass filled, close
race that was anything but a parade.

I think you are missing the point. Old Tom (TJMC) would have never watched the
entire race. He would have declared it a snooze after 5 minutes due to lack of
passing at the front and then railed on about what a crap race it was.

Actually, TJ did watch the race. As much of it as he could between
frantic calls from the current caretakers of TOCH.

Apparently a group of the residents heard there was a street race for
Indy cars, and figured it must be a CART race. So they tuned in. The
first trouble came after turn 1 on the first lap, when everyone made
it through in good form. They started murmuring about physical
impossibilities, rents in the fabric of the universe, etc. TJ had to
tell the caretakers how to dispense extra Thorazine.

The race was interrupted by several more calls. The worst after the
Kanaan-Briscoe incident. Here was an F1 test driver hired by Ganassi,
in the lead due to fuel and pit stop strategy, and doing what seemed
to be a masterful job of blocking. That (and the Thorazine) had made
them happy with the world. Then an IRL champion forced his way past,
leaving their hero in the tire wall.

Took a while for TJ to explain to the caretakers how to deploy the
fire hoses.

BTW - TJ has cable TV now, and he does have an Internet connection.
His ISP doesn't provide Usenet, so he probably won't resume posting
here. But we've been IM'ing during the races, and if there's anything
interesting to report in the future I'll pass it on.

Good to know, Ken - thanks. Please convey to the t-man that he seems to
have an awful lot of fans still hanging around here!

So Tom is still having those delusions about some old folks home. I am very
sorry to hear he has not sought out a medication to clear his head of all those
voices. I would have thought all the "rest" he was having would help.

So you say he is now having telephone conversations with those voices? Very sad,
very sad indeed. I am glad to hear the current combination of meds have allowed
him to enjoy a street race despite years of lobbying against them.

Is he still having that mysterious countdown to midnight obsessive/compulsive
disorder that brought on his "rest" period?
BTW - TJ has cable TV now, and he does have an Internet connection.> His ISP doesn't provide Usenet, so he probably won't resume posting> here. But we've been IM'ing during the races, and if there's anything> interesting to report in the future I'll pass it on.

Funny how he "lost" his internet account when the IRL announced they were going
street racing.

Coincidence??? Must be!!!

Tom is certainly a nice enough guy, but a little hard to understand with all
those delusions and the perpetual condition of Chumponoia. I think you do him a
disservice by playing up his fears, but it sure seems fun! I am so glad your
treatment has worked out better than Tom's.

Lost his internet account? You haven't been paying attention. He
moved, and it took a while for him to find a local ISP and get back on
line.

I explained that in a previous post. Maybe Wabbit can go through his
archive of my posts and find that one for you.

"took a while for him to find a local ISP"???

Yea, buddy...the check is in the mail...that is a cold sore and I couldn't find
an ISP. So continueing with that same logic, it was only a coincidence that this
was right after TG reniged on the road/sreet course promise.

No, I remember it well. He moved and it has taken him months to "find an ISP".

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

What a tool you guys are and you find it hard to understand why we won't buy

Do you all really want him on line reminding you of how the St. Petersburg
race ran professionally despite your predictions of catastrophe? Or how
another series ran 50 laps in the rain during yellow to take the money and
run?

No, of course not. Any dose of reality here does nothing but draw insults
to the messenger. Be grateful for the gift of tjmc's excuse to you...

"Surprise, surprise, surprise", says another brilliant MC vet.

Do you all really want him on line reminding you of how the St. Petersburg> race ran professionally despite your predictions of catastrophe? Or how> another series ran 50 laps in the rain during yellow to take the money and> run?

Actually no...
Be grateful for the gift of tjmc's excuse to you...

Grateful isn't the word.

The longer the IRL continues to be a failure, the fewer people like TJ and
yourself will be around.
