Jimmie Johnson nabbed his first career Busch pole at Darlington Raceway with
a lap of 168.186 mph. Johnson tamed the 'lady in black' last season in his
Cup car by sweeping both events in the No. 48 Chevy and hopes to do the same
this evening making just his second start of 2005.

"I was confident," said Johnson, the Cup series point leader. "I got
through one and two with a lot of speed and three and four went really
well. It was so smooth, I thought man I may have a shot at this--great
day. Glad to get this No. 5 car on the pole."
