 Bailey Returns to Grand Am Cup Action at Laguna Seca this weekend

Monterey, Calif. - Brian Bailey of Southlake, Texas, returns to the Grand
Am Cup Series for this weekend's U.S. Sports Car Invitational at the
challenging Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. It was February 4th at the Daytona
Motor Speedway that Bailey last drove for the Autometrics Motorsports
Porsche team. Bailey looks forward to returning to the Porsche 996 for the
remainder of the season. "I'm very excited to get the Autometrics
Motorsports Porsche 996 back onto a traditional road course. I think our
car is one of the best handling in the series as our performance in the
infield at Daytona showed," stated Bailey. The team qualified in 29th
position but moved through the pack to finish in a respectable 16th
position. "Because the banking at Daytona takes up a significant amount of
your lap time, our car's horsepower did not allow us to be competitive up
front. Laguna Seca will better suit our team and car. Therefore I have high
hopes for this coming weekend," said Bailey.
