 Montreal, April 27, 2005 - Patrick Carpentier completed his first
practice session in preparation for Saturday's Indy Japan 300 to be held
at Twin Ring Motegi in Japan.

Carpentier finished 9th with a lap time of 27.7425 seconds around the
2.414-kilometre (1.5-mile) egg-shaped oval course. He averaged 309.383
km/h. His teammate Alex Barron finished 14th overall with a lap time of
27.9011 seconds (315.625 km/h).
