"We unloaded off the truck really fast and we look forward to
coming back to Martinsville after the way we performed him last year. We
got beat by three thousandths of a second, but I've won 'em
that close before, too. I wish we could have done better, but this
isn't too bad. I think the track slowed down a little bit. You
can't get the pole every time. We had the fastest car in practice,
but we lost it. You can't have the fastest car and then slow down
and be happy about it. If you are you're not a racer.

 SCOTT RIGGS (No. 10 Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge Avenger)

"We worked on qualifying setup the entire morning and thought we
had it pretty good. I think the biggest thing that gave us a loop there
with that lap, the reason we lost some time was because we didn't
have the same heat in the brakes as before and we kept locking up the
left front getting into the corner. The entry hurt my corner and I think
that's what hurt our time. There's nothing to do now but wait
and see if we make it in or not."
