Tommy Archer scores back-to-back wins in the first two SCCA SPEED World
Challenge Series GT championship races of the 2005 season. Archer started
from third place on the grid in his No. 1 3R Racing Dodge Viper behind the
two Porsches who had been fastest in practice at the 1.8-mile St. Petersburg
street circuit.

"I had a good start and was able to get up to second by turn one," commented
the race winner. "I wanted to be aggressive from the start; if I could gain
a couple of places I knew we would have a good day. The team did a great
job to stay on top of the cars setup all weekend."
