Luis Diaz pleased the Hispanic fans that are in attendance along with many
others who are taking in the sights and sounds of the Ferrari Maserati 400
Weekend at the California Speedway. The Mexico City native earned his first
Grand American Rolex Series career pole by setting the fastest lap during
Saturday's qualifying session.

Diaz was clocked at 1:33.356 for a speed of 108.745 miles per hour in the
No. 01 CompUSA Chip Ganassi Lexus Riley, giving the 2004 championship team
their 13th pole in only 15 starts.
