I think on my old Rabbits they had American compressors. That is a magnetic clutch you are refering to…

WSR: Draco Multiracing USA Le Mans test preview

 When there's one month to the first race of the championship, Draco
Multiracing USA moves to the French circuit of Le Mans - Bugatti, to take
part in the Renault World Series collective test of Saturday 2nd and Sunday
3rd April.

For the first time, the drivers Markus Winkelhock and Christian Montanari
will alternate at the steering-wheel of the new FR 3.5 single-seater.
In fact, Saturday and Sunday Draco Multiracing USA - as the other Teams -
will have at disposal only one car to test and to continue the training in
view of the first race in Zolder (Belgium).
