"I had a great race car. I couldn't ask for my car to be any faster. I was
just stunned how fast that 41 was. I couldn't tell why he was so fast; he
was just fast all the way around the race track. I really can't remember
the last time a field got beat that bad; it was merciful. That 41 was
incredible. Besides him, this was a new car. I'm obviously with a
championship team. This is the same team Jeff Green won the championship
with. They've retooled and regrouped, and we kind of got everything back in
place. We put an engineer back in place that was with that team. Of
course, we've got a new crew chief and everything is new. It was a good
shot in the arm. We were eighth in the points coming in here. I've won
nine of these races and it's hard to believe this is my first top-five since
2001 when I won at Rockingham. It's only fitting because it's where we
should be."
