Mark Martin 4th?

George Small 8 May 2005 20:22:54
If Mark Martin's spin caused the caution with a couple of laps remaining,
shouldn't he have been sent to the end of the longest line for the
re-start.? If so, there's no way he could have moved up th 4th for the
checkered flag. Have an explanation ?

After his spin the caution came out freezing the field. He only lost one
spot dropping back to 6th. After everybody pitted except Newman and
Kenny he restarted 7th. Schrader dropped very quickly on the restart.
Gordon took care of Edwards and Mark passed Newman to get 4th.

you agree he should have retired years ago?

are you retarded?

the man is 6th in the points!!

there are a lot of fuckers who need to retire (Jason Leffler, Mike Wallace,
Brian Vickers, etc.) but Mark Martin is one guy who needs to keep driving
cup.

Thank you! I thought I'd maybe slipped into an alternate reality for a
minute there.

Maybe not "years ago", but MM himself knows his competitive years are
through, otherwise he wouldn't be retiring.

Got to give MM credit, at least he's retiring while he has a lot of
respect from the fans.

are you retarded?

No, are you? I was just giving my opinion.

the man is 6th in the points!!

But where will MM be in the points at the end of the 2005 season? Will
MM make "The Chase For The 2005 Championship"?

LOL!!@ Jason Leffler and Brian Vickers retiring.

Seems you forgot how bad MM was when he first started racing. The guy
would have never made it in NASCAR without the help from Roush. MM would
be in a gutter somewhere sleeping off a long night of drinking had it
not been for Roush.

I'm no Roush fan, but I'll give credit where credit is due, Roush was
there when MM needed someone to believe in him.

Also, as we have seen in the past, drivers who try to extend the
"competitive years", usually fail and fail miserably. The name Richard
Petty comes to mind.

As for Mike Wallace, he's an idiot. He must be a distant cousin of the
Bodine clan.
