RPG: Texas... zenit

Zenit 17 April 2005 19:20:05

1. Kasey Kahne wrecks out in the first 100 miles just because he
can... Only 16 year-old female fans notice...

2. Bobby Labonte DNF's due to unknown drive train problem... Crew
chief says "Sumptin' broke" not noticing the drive shaft laying in the
middle of turn 4...

3. Tony Stewart finishes in top 10 after languishing in mid-pack all
day but forgets to praise crew... Crew doesn't notice...

4. Kevin Whatshisname gets a top 5 after slugging it out with Newman
for half the race... Newman doesn't notice because he's too busy
looking on the car's floor for his protractor...

5. Gordon gets his first win at Texas but JG haters pretend not to
notice and keep their caps on backwards in tribute to Jr.'s 16th place
finish...

Y'know, you're going to have a hard time with all those
compound predictions. Those hardly ever come right :-)

1. Kasey Kahne wrecks out in the first 100 miles just because he>can... Only 16 year-old female fans notice...

OK, so he waited until the last 100 miles... I'll never listen to that
fuel pump salesman again... - 1/2
2. Bobby Labonte DNF's due to unknown drive train problem... Crew>chief says "Sumptin' broke" not noticing the drive shaft laying in the>middle of turn 4...

Drive train problem turned out to be the engine resting next to
Bobby...
- 1/2
3. Tony Stewart finishes in top 10 after languishing in mid-pack all>day but forgets to praise crew... Crew doesn't notice...

Crew chief promises not to use the Briggs and Stratton crate engines
again, all the while standing in front of the packages of weenies and
marsh mellows the crew had sneaked in... -1
4. Kevin Whatshisname gets a top 5 after slugging it out with Newman>for half the race... Newman doesn't notice because he's too busy>looking on the car's floor for his protractor...

Kevin had a lock on a top 5 but slowed to help Ryan find his
protractor, losing his compass in the process... -1
5. Gordon gets his first win at Texas but JG haters pretend not to>notice and keep their caps on backwards in tribute to Jr.'s 16th place>finish...

Gordon wrestled a 15th place finish from Newman who was still looking
for his protractor... Gordon was later heard asking Loomis to not
bring the short track car to Texas again... -1

Jr. fans twisted caps 90 degrees to the left to honor a 9th place
finish... Not understanding the situation, Mikey runs into the stands
for a photo-op...

Newman found his protractor after the race... He'd been sitting on
it...

Until next week, when the picks will be just as wrong as today..

Lord, I hope no one's keeping track of this bit of silliness... After
