 1. Jimmie Johnson top 5

2. Rusty Wallace top 10

3. Mark Martin 15th or worse.

4. Jimmie Johnson will hold on to the points lead.

5. Dale Junior will finish 15th or worse.

The Gimmie Police says this one's awfully close to the line. JJ has a
94 point lead over Biffle in second and a 156 point margin on Tony
Stewart in third.

If you win the race and lead the most laps, that's 190 points. Last
place and leading no laps is 34 points--a difference of 156.
Therefore, the absolute best case for TS still wouldn't dislodge JJ
from the lead. They'd be tied.

If Biffle won the race and led the most laps, JJ would need to score 96
points to maintain the tie. 22nd and no laps led pays 97 points.

So, if JJ finishes 22nd or better, he keeps the point lead regardless.
If Biffle doesn't win the race and lead the most laps, he could finish
even lower and still keep the lead.

If not an outright gimmie, it's awfully close.....

Thoughts?

I started to say something about it, but didn't want to be the first one to
say something. To me it's in the "gimme valley" right under "moral mountain"

Those of us who dwell upon the heights hear no evil spoken of
us or our neighborhood. If there is a Gimme Valley nearby, it
is not a place we care to think about.

Bummer, I didn't get an opportunity to get online again until just now,
so I wasn't able to alter my pick. How would I score this? A "0" or a "-1"?

Send this on Friday, but it never showed up.....

1. Tony Stewart top 10

2. Mark Martin top 10

3. Jamie McMurray 20th or worse

4. Elliott Sadler will remain in 11th for the non-Chase.

5. Jeff Gordon moves up one or more positions in the non-Chase points.

Race winner: Rusty Wallace.

[Rusty's due. He wants to win before he retires. He has a proven
record at M-ville. But he's going to have to beat TS to do it.]
