After this race, the Top35 'Guarantee' kicks in using '05 Owner Points.
NBS has a current streak of 18 diff winners inarow!

Since 1961, there have been 32 diff winners in 88 races.
73 of the 88 started in the Top10, 83%.
Farthest back winner was Elliott Sadler '01, from 38th.
There have been 4 wins from the backstretch pits:
'02-Kurt Busch, '01-ESadler, '99-DE, '90-Davey Allison.

5 first wins: '79-DE, '86-RW, '90-Ernie Irvan, '01-ES, '02-KB.
To my knowledge, no driver has made their 1st start at Bristol.

12W-DW(7W inarow!), 9W-CY & DE.
9W-RW last in '00, 5W-JG'02, 4W-KB'04.
2W-TL'95 & MM'98. ONE: DEJ(won NBS also-only 1), TS, ES, DJ, BE'88.

Ofers: Rudd-54, KPetty-43, Marlin-40, Schrader-40, Mikey-38,
BLabonte-24, JBurton-22, Nemechek-20, Mayfield-20, Kenseth-10.

The All-Time record for # of Cautions(20) is at Bristol twice '97,'89.

Kyle Petty should tie Bobby Allison for 7th all-time starts-718.
Rusty should make consecutive start # 666 >;(
And at Mvl next week, RW should tie DE for 10th a-t starts-676.

going to be there! the first NASCAR race I ever attended
Martinsville/fall 04 and I discovered I love short tracks. I can't
wait to get on the road Friday morning.

I'd be delighted if he did, but all of my RPG bucks have been wagered> on Jimmy Johnson.>

:(

on last friday, at the Mark Martin bash here in town, KB signed autoraphs.
he was 2 hours late getting here, and at the end he just stood up and
left... with 6 people left in line.

I'm sorry, but any tiny bit of respect I may have had for him was lost.
After spending hours signing autographs, I can understand if you're tired...
I can even see getting up and leaving after hours of signing if there is
still a huge line... but to sign thousands of things then leave 6 people in
line with nothing is just cruel.

My 2 pennies. For the first time in my life I am actually sending a letter
to a sponsor of a sports figure.

As far as I'm concerned I hope he never wins another race. He's actually
knocked my previous Least-Favorite-Driver off the top of the list.

You're welcome.

I forgot to mention the importance of hauling home a few scanner
bites for us to chew on. :o)

Besides feeding the folks hungry for an inside scoop, you'll
appreciate having the headsets on as ear protectors.
Bristol is a bowl of noise. "Thunder Mountain" indeed!

In this Modern Era none of the drivers get hurt since Nadeau so there should
be a lot of guys making 36 starts each season for years on end. The young
Bush may do a Cal Ripken and lap the field some years after Gordon retires.
