I think it has a lot to do with the more talented brother's fame and name recognition getting his brother an "in" with teams and sponsors that they probably wouldn't have gotten on their own. BTW ~ other current brother combo's that haven't been mentioned yet: Kurt / Kyle Busch - time will tell whether they fit the mold or break the trend. Ward / Jeff Burton - I'm not sure I would say one is definitely more dominant over the other... So what does that tell us... seems to me it points out that success at race driving isn't about genetics, it's about something else. Not only that, but assumedly these siblings had much the same opportunity and climate that their brothers did, and so, a similarly good opportunity to break into the sport and succeed. Perhaps even more so due to family name. How might we relate all this back to the idea of women in NASCAR? Or Blacks in NASCAR? -Russ.
