Enjoy!!

You have that right! This August will be my 5th time. The only thrill that

When you see Bristol, you will not want to see any other track, except maybe
Darlington or Rockingham -- all the rest are just the details.

This is the first year in a decade that I will not be going to Bristol. I
am going to miss it badly. Hope all who go, enjoy it enough for me, too.

Thanks,

Amy

My tickets are in the Grandstand, Allison Terrace Section M row 18. It looks
like I'm pretty high up. Anyone know if that is correct?

They are the very last row of the grandstand/terrace if I remember
correctly. It would be best to park off of turn 3/4. I have tickets in
section K. Ride the elevator up!

Talking about a track that should lose its dates, it's cruel and unusual
punishment to be forced to suffer through another crashfest at Bristol this
year. Over 100 of the 500 laps were run under yellow, what a crock of crap,
only someone who knows nothing about racing would even call that a race, let
alone exciting. If I wanted to see a demolition derby I'd go to the
fairgrounds during the state fair and watch one. All it takes to win a turtle
race like Bristol is pure luck in avoiding the pileups every 5-10 laps, there
certainly isn't any driver skill involved. And we have yet another week of
short track caution laps until we get back to real racing at Texas. Oh well,
I'll be able to catch up on the house chores this Sunday.

But you know, and I don't think they should lose anything,
the racing there is really not that good.
The excitement level is high, and the demand for tickets is high,
but for that Busch race.... 14 yellows, 3 reds, in 250 laps,
is really not good "racing".

I've been to the races there, and the atmosphere and fun factor
is awesome, as is the thunderous crowd.
But the "racing" is not that great....

I'll not post a 'troll' type response about how it shoud be burned
to the ground.. and as I said, I want it to stay on the schedule...
There are tracks that should lose a date way before Bristol..

Well you've got to realize that the NBS race was on MONDAY! Considering how
most Mondays go for the general public, you put 43 drivers on a high banked
half mile track at the same time on a MONDAY.....what would you expect? :)

There have been races at BMS that have gone relatively caution free and
there is no way that N$ will give up one of these dates. If they could find
a way to give them a third date without a lawsuit from a disgruntled one
date track they certainly would.

Impound race; one practice; only 2 Fords in the top 19 in practice -
some pretty big names in the back half of the field. Stewart crashed
his primary car.

Should be an interesting race. I'm gonna go buy some popcorn.

Thank goodness the Bristol races are over for another year. What a piece of
crap track and, if you can call it that, racing. It's really just a demolition
derby that pretends to be a race. After 16 cautions and no lead changes the
pole sitter wins the race. How exciting. And we had to witness some of the cry
babies at their very worst; thumb sucking Harvick pouting and refusing to
drive his car after he tore it up and DJ taking himself and Newman out of the
championship chase because he threw a temper tantrum like the spoiled brat
that he is. Thankfully we are back at a real race track for Labor Day.

Moving the Labor Day race to California was the best thing NASCAR has done
for the sport in a long time.

Best is that which makes NASCAR more popular and accepted as a major sport
outside of the Southeast.

There used to be so many races down in the lower right hand corner that they
did not even sell out most of them.

Since the execs at NASCAR got their minds right and redistributed the dates
all of the races from Indianapolis to California sell out well in advance.

It is unlikely that the Las Vegas track would get a second date but if it
did the hotel execs have guaranteed the owner that they would purchase every
ticket for that one also. The Cup race is the biggest sporting event in
Nevada and if there were two they would be the two biggest sporting events
in Nevada. Those antique relic states are more interested in football.

Yeah, it is better to have umpteen races in The South that do not even sell
out so they can race in front of empty grandstands.

Why do "noobs" always post the same crap?

There was racing long before the crap "Super Speedways", it's what the sport
was built on.

Yeah, but that was forty years ago before they knew better and had the money
to build good tracks.

Of the last dozen or so tracks constructed Homestead is the only one that
comes anywhere close to a throwback track.

That North Wilkesboro, Darlington, Rockingham, Martinsville stuff is going
by the wayside.

Actually... Ryan took him out of the chase.
DJ just wanted to make sure Ryan wasn't going to benefit from it.
