Props to a former co-worker of mine turned Busch Series NASCAR official

When I was in the Air Force, there was this young Airmen that was my
"Right Arm Girl". She always made sure all the A-10 equipment we worked
on was on schedule, above reproach.
She did the hired security stint at Rockingham one weekend and told me
all the ppl she met...Mr. Richard Petty, Rusty (her driver at the
time)..and Bill Davis...She even served on Wards pit crew as security.

Well, here's someone that did her time, served her country in places
MOST of you wouldn't even dream of serving in, got her engineering
degree...and made her dreams come true. She told me before I retired
from active duty, she had a shot at becoming a NASCAR Featherlite
official.

I was watching the California Busch race a few weeks ago...and Lo and
Behold, there she was...A NASCAR Busch official.

My hats off to you Karla, for making your country proud of your
service..and for making your dreams come true.

Great story, Pup. Mine is different but the same:
My 2 sons had no chance of their parents paying for a 4 year college
experience, so we all decided that their best bet was to enlist in
America's traditional war-fighting apparatus.

As it turned out, both sons got some USG-Assisted education
to become taxpaying Americans.

We still have the 20 x 24 photograph of Bosnia on our wall.
Maybe they didn't die in Iraq, but they did survive to become
productive members of American Society.
Their parent's most important product.

God bless the USA & children who are willing to sacrifice their lives
for the ideals of The USA, just like my wife's forefathers in 1775.
