He impressed me on the track, for sure - that was a hell of an adjustment
that he made to his line in the closing laps. I didn't think he was going
to catch JJ. I was also impressed by his post-race interviews - he seems
like he's got his head on straight. Is he my "new favorite"? Probably not,
but it's always nice to have a few guys to root for.

Why can't you root for Jr and Carl at the same time? I'll be changing

 Yea, as my best friend and I were watching the race-we were pulling for
edwards to catch Johnson.

No Lie-I told my friend verbatum "Carl will have his win by the end of the
year"...Then the son-of-a-gun caught Johnson and passed him for the win! On
a bad tire at that!!!! Both of us yelled for joy win Edwards went across the
finish line first. Can't stand the Gordon wannabe!!!

And I also told my friend...Carl's Momma is a hottie!

as long as Jr. can stay in the 400 point limit, where's the problem. at
race 27 the top 10 will be seperated by only 45 points. the need to keep up
has gotten less important and the only thing worth doing is keeping the fans
happy w/ some good finishes throughout the season. Jr. (and others) can
flounder at the minus 300+ mark or top 10 almost all season and still not be
too worried. now it's about keeping the fans happy and making bringing in
money for the company. Jr. has brought in $1.23 Mil already and Waltrip has
brought in over $600k. i'm sure that the #8 team will be in the hunt at the
end of the season and that in the weeks to come they'll slowly inch up the
points, right now Jr. is 315 points out and there are still 22 races left in
the season to make the cut off.
