....fairly early on in the telecast today, when Kurt Busch blew
a tire, if memory serves correct.

Do you think maybe he is getting just a little tired of reading
the constant whining on here from the "impossible to please"
telecast critics?

I don't know about him, but I am.

Hey Tom,

I was at the race and I'm getting ready to watch my tape. I'll let you know
how good they did ok?

BTW: I will tell you that while at the race I listened to the Fox broadcast
on the scanners and DW was giving the directors a hard time about being in
commercial during an early lead change. His comment was something along the
lines of 'And here's a lead change while we're away.' Not his exact words
but the sentiment is the same.

So I guess its not just use unknowing and TV ignorant viewer who are the
only ones to complain.

As much as I like his style, I seem to remember that nobody
confuses DW wqith the sharpest knife in the drawer. Add that to
his genuine enthusiasm for the sport, and you can see how he could
forget the economic realities for a moment. Being away in break
is what pays his salary, I'm sure he remembers that when the check
shows up every month.

I'm sure the head of FOX Sports would welcome his alternative
solution to the dilema.

See there you go again Tom... Way to eager to defend your craft to actually
see the real issue at hand. Alas, I'd try to explain it to you but we've
all learned long ago that your ability to comprehend much more then your own
emotional connection to the subject is minimal at best.

Suffice to say we all understand how DW gets paid and exactly what provides
the necessary funds to keep the show on the tube. That's simply not what's
at issue here but I don't think you'll ever understand it.

The other village idiot never slept with anything that looked like this:
