As it should be. The fact that the driver has managed to beat nine more drivers should be reflected in the amount of points he is awarded. That's why the Manufacture points system was always so idiotic, you could have ten Fords in the top 10 and the eleventh place Chevy would still get 2nd place points, the nineteenth place Pontiac would get 3rd place points.

If they didn't take away the "valuable points" that the regulars need to survive, it wouldn't be as bad.
