excellent point that isn't even discussed much in the media.... perhaps
one way they could handle the whacking situation is to eliminate full
time Cup drivers from earning points in Busch races. That would also
prevent them from driving Busch races in order to help their owners
stack up owner points and provisionals for the drivers in their
development system to use up when they get to the Busch program.

As it should be. The fact that the driver has managed to beat nine more
drivers should be reflected in the amount of points he is awarded. That's
why the Manufacture points system was always so idiotic, you could have ten
Fords in the top 10 and the eleventh place Chevy would still get 2nd place
points, the nineteenth place Pontiac would get 3rd place points.

Well, last year Michael Waltrip was a whacker that almost considered running
the full Busch schedule once he realized he was gonna stay near the top of
the points all season. I dunno... I think if you can make a race, then you
should be allowed to race... *shrug*

Nobody is complaining about Tony Stewart or Ken Schrader when they go to
these little dirt tracks and whip up on the locals, are they? :)

As long as they're allowed to do it, you can't really blame them for
making a little extra money and getting more track time.

If they didn't take away the "valuable points" that the regulars need
to survive, it wouldn't be as bad.

My dad puts it this way...

Maybe, instead of them getting all the points, the Buschwhackers ought to
just get prize money for finishing and, instead, the finishing BGN regulars
will have points awarded in addition to their winnings.
