The black plastic body panels are designed to take a lot of abiuse, and the seats can pop out to give a huge flat floor for sleeping on. Plus the rubber mats let you hose out the inside of the car. It's substance over style. If I were in the market for a cheap car to travel to races in, which would allow hauling a bunch of stuff yet also allow room to sleep in the car on long road trips, I'd seriously consider an Element. bp

	No Way. Sprinter get 25mpg+, 475 cu ft interior, tows 5000 lbs carries 5000 lbs New engine coming will get 30-50% more power with same fuel economy and they look fine ( if you like vans ) and it is a Mercedes , they only changed the badge .
