One of the best places to stand is inside the track anywhere between turns three and four. I swear you can hear the cars cutting through the air before you hear the engine sound. tjmc, who used to post here first mentioned it. I really didn't believe it until I went up there. It is best heard when there are only a few cars on the track during practice or qualifying. Of course, the sound on the front straightaway, nearing turn one is also great, echoing off of the grandstands. Carey in Manvel
