REPUGS KEEP THE POOR POOR

Rice'S Teeth 9 March 2005 01:17:50
......as the minimum wage proposal goes down the drain. They can get tax
cuts for the upper 1% but can't get a buck for those that need it most.
Odd too that those who would gain the most are in the low income red states.
Hey, you voted the mope. Now you have to live with it..........trailer
payments and all.

Thank Christ. An hour of a job (or an apple, or a Swiss franc, or a hunk
of gold, or a blowjob) is worth exactly the intersection of what someone
will pay for it and what someone will provide it for.

Nothing less, and nothing more.

Minimum wage goes up. Cost of goods and services goes up. Everyone's
right back where we started.

If the minimum wage were frozen *forever*, would the cost of goods and
services stay put?

Point being, no other cost-of-sales increases that are passed along to the
consumer seem to elicit the loud squeals that an increase in the minimum wage
does. As long as the minimum wage remains as is, there is no way for the
working poor to even barely manage to "keep up".

Not according to Bush, however. While on his whirlwind tour promoting his
social security scheme, his response to a woman who stated she was working 3
jobs was (paraphrased)..."Isn't that wonderful! The American way!".

Whew...hard to believe this unbelievably out-of-touch little fellow.

Where in the Constitution does it guarantee anyone certain level of
lifestyle?

Go to school, get an education, and make $$$$.
Drop out, smoke crack, get a union job at the plant, become a Democrat and a
burden on society.

God I wish people would get a fucking clue before you retarded bastards
destroy America.

Don't be confusing the boy with such "abstract" concepts. A minimum wage
worker doesn't have the mental facilities to understand a word of what you
said. You know, they were sleeping or skipped high school the day that was
taught in economics.

And this has what to do with Stern or Nascar?? If your going to
crosspost crap. At least let it be topical crap. As far the minimum wage
goes.... From my Econ 101 class: raising the wage, raises labor costs.
The net effect is fewer people employed. Also cut the class war crap,
everyone got a tax cut.

Sounds like a decent plan. So what is your excuse for being unemployed and
living in your parents basement?
