Can somebody please help me on this ? Especially Gordo's stuff. The
other cars of course dont get the special treatment that Gordo and
JJ do .. and IMHO ... the disaster at Hendrick had something to do
with the problems. See what happens down the line.

A little lesson on parts is in order son.

Parts are made in batches.
Not all batches are the same.
Some batches are good.
Some batches are not.

When similar problems crop up in engines built by a particular shop, then
odds are good that a bad batch of parts was used. The fact that JJ's did not
break is more the luck of the draw than any thing.

Write this down for future use.

Fortunately for the teams that use Hendrick motors, they have two weeks
to figure out what went wrong and fix it. This will be a true test for
the post-Dorton motor department. They did well at Daytona, but I'm
sure those motors were mostly Dorton creations. Can they solve these
problems and keep the hp? We shall see.
