 It might be cursed...at least it was on my high school football team.
For some reason #31 became the cool number for running backs to wear at
my high school in the '80s. Then there was a string of three straight
starting RBs who suffered major injuries and missed all or most of a
season while wearing that number. After that, no one would wear it.
We still talk about the "31 voodoo". Maybe it applies to the #31
everywhere????

Or maybe Childress has just had some bad luck.

 I still think Burton will finish in the top ten at the end of the season and
i'm not a Burton fan but if you watched him after he went to race for
childress last year he averaged pretty high in the chevy so i wish him lots
of luck..

I like the whole idea of putting Burton in the 31. He should do great.
