Kevin LePage

Exiled 21 February 2005 06:34:35
Several posters down said LePage would park it after two or so laps.

They were only off by 198.

Boy, you posters should be on Speed Channel with your vast knowledge of the
sport.

So, sorry the Vermont Yankee got in ahead of Robby Gordon?

Just where would Robby have finished? Three wrecks and you just KNOW he
would

have been in the middle of one of em.

Wouldn't have seen 9th.

Heres hoping LePage picks up some sponsorship this year. He always had
sloppy seconds from Roush
and deserved better.

Congratulations Kevin

I disagree with one point - Robby Gordon wouldn't just be in the middle of
the wrecks, he'd be the most likely cause !

I missed the races this weekend and just saw the Kevln LePage method
of entering the track after a pit stop. I guess the proper method is
exit pit, turn right, merge into oncoming traffic.

Do you suppose Helton and company had some words of advice for him and
his spotter?

i heard on speed today that at these superspeedways, you have to keep
all 4 tires below the yellow line until turn 1, and he clearly went up
before turn 1. apparently his wife is his spotter...

Maybe he should get Garmin or Tom Tom..

Watch the first part of this with the spotter chatter. She did her job. She
told him that the field was coming, told him to stay low, and told him to
watch the blend line.

Kevin just got really stupid for some reason.

it also shows that with all the "safety" devices. hans and the seats with
the high backs and head restraints they've destroyed the ability to see
anywhere but in front.
clearly lepage couldn't see what was coming.

But his spotter damned well should have been able to see the pack closing
and knowing they were at speed and Kevin still had over 1 mile to go to
get to speed...kevin was stupit, but his spotter needs to be fired...IF
his spotter called "Clear Right".

On the Sirius NASCAR radio channel they were discussing LePage's humongous mistake.
They said that his wife gave him ample warning NOT to blend, that the pack was coming too fast.
But, like most husbands, he refused to listen to his wife's good advice. ;-)

As i heard it--NA$CAr changed the rules for this race.
The blend line is clearly marked into Turn 1 from Pitroad, but
at the drivers' meeting, N changed blending to Turn 2.
Did anyone else hear this & why did N make that change?
Does LePage have ADD & a hearing problem at N pre-race meetings.
Is he the only one?

Correct... they felt that you could not get up to
speed fast enough by turn one..

No... I think Boyer missed it too...?
