Could some one please explain the latest Nascar commercials?

 How is racing around a track for infinitely many rounds compared to the
ideology of the term Gladiator? Maybe it would apply more if it were more
like Demolition Derby, or some Monster Truck events... but racing around the
track with the intention of not harming the other chariot - quite an
overkill.
