Nascar of yesteryear had it problems: 1. nepotism (who you know, not how good a driver you were) 2. Some drivers had much better equipment than others 3. It was easier to cheat I don't see the pretty-boy argument. I don't consider Newman, Earnhardt, Mears, Vickers, Kahne, or JG to be extremely handsome. Not ugly, but not gorgeous either. As for F1, Schumacher isn't much to look at either.
