02 TJ ...Frame Rust begining already

John 11 April 2005 17:48:24
I have an '02 TJ. I am beginning to see rust beginning to form on the frame
and some other components in the under-carriage.

What is the best way to bring this to an end. Obviously sand off the rust,
but what should I put on top to prevent reoccurrance. I know Rust-Oleum
paint is a waste of time.

Any suggestions?

If you live in Canada after the Por15 take your jeep into rustcheck annually
for their coat and protect spray.

My '02's frame is covered in rust and it's been to Rust Check every year
since '02. That's life in the "salt belt".

You get the "coat and protect" application or the regular stuff? the c&p
stuff will cover that rust and stay around longer then the regular stuff.

I've always gone for the highest-priced dripless option.

Move to the desert.

Rust? I've heard of it but I don't think I've ever seen it.
