Yes, we play on the ragged edge, always Jeep with another. Beside
what good is it to climb that cliff if there's no one there to show off
in front of.
Big Bend is beautiful, my boss had a deer lease there, and would
regularly fly us in from East Texas. Darn Sixties Minutes.

 Wow, 14-15mpg? My 99 w/a 2.5L gets 18mpg and I have 4" of lift with
33x12.5R15 BFG MTs. And yes, I've replaced the speedo gear and verified it
with a GPS.

Yes, but are you attempting to maintain seventy miles an hour out
I-10 where even the trucks are rolling at eighty.

 Blimey.

I've had the rear axle oil seal begin to weep, and a dry solder joint in the
alarm system which I resoldered myself. Since I have had it, it has never
failed to start first time, and has never bled anything on my driveway. I
haven't worked out what my I6 will do flat out - haven't ever taken it above
80. I do know it will pull 80 up a very steep hill though. Perfect vehicle !

Today, yes. One way we had a heck of a head wind causing a lot of problems
even maintaining 60mph. Lots of shifting back and forth between third and
fourth.

Of course that head wind became a tail wind on the hour trip back and I
hardly ever dipped below 70 (maintained 70 -- too scared to go above that)
and didn't take it out of fifth until I hit traffic.

You too?

I get my balls busted for talking about the 3 Wranglers I've had. <G>
Some people think I'm exaggerating.

My daily driver is a Tacoma, the Jeep is the wife's! <G>
