LeMans is in June not May. Xenophobic and ignorant midwestern and southern USA dwellers who continue to believe that the shadow of its former self most commonly called the IRL 500 has any significance, are living a lie and ignoring the fact that the owner of the Indy speedway has destroyed the once famous race and turned it into a joke bereft of all importance. That's why tickets are so easy to obtain and (compared to 10 years ago) nobody watches it on television either. Tony George has transformed a once important spectacle and turned that "Old Indy Magic" into just another hum- drum and boring race on the IRL schedule with a handful of outside entrants that nobody even notices. As stated earlier, the only people who support the claim that the IRL 500 is still of any value to the sport are idiots who haven't a clue about what goes on outside of their limited and myopic scope or are living in the distant past.

The greatest month of the entire year for auto racing fans! The monthly home of the Great Spectacle in Sports, The Indianapolis 500! Now everybody pays attention to auto racing for a whole month!

Sorry to once again disillusion you, but that would also be "*American* auto race fans".
Here in Oz the Indy 500 is just another big oval race. The biggest month is October with Bathurst and Surfers Paradise Indy within a couple of weeks of each other.
