Good Race (Semi-Spoliers)

Hadji 4 April 2005 02:19:51
Actually enjoyed this. Kudos to the corner workers and track officials for
keeping things running and not throwing a FCY every 5 minutes.

IRL cars seem to have no problems with road/street courses. The Panasonic
car looked like it was smoking with 4 laps left and was black-flagged, but
otherwise didn't see any issues. Kanaan's car appeared indestructible!

Foyt and Patrick don't appear to belong at this level of racing.

Congrats to Andretti/Green racing.

Other than that ENORMOUS full track width block,
and later slam into Kaanan, by Briscoe.

As well as Carpenter.

Congrats to Andretti/Green racing.>

Geez, was that 'take off the gloves' time or what? It'll be
interesting to see what, if any, penalties get levied. If Kanaan was pissed,
I don't blame him in the least.

Foyt and Patrick don't appear to belong at this level of racing.

*shrug* I'm still in 'wait and see' mode.

I hear ya, and that's probably the best way to look at it. My only problem> is the feeling of deja vu I get with drivers we all want to do well but> achievement is "just around the corner". And in auto racing admittedly team> chemistry, or the lack thereof, can have a lot to do with driver> achievement.

The jury is still out on Danica, but Foyt has no business on any track where
cars are racing. This is his second year and he hasn't learned a thing, and is
slower than last year.

...as for Ed, his stepfather needs to sell advertising for the side of that car.
I mean, it was prominently displayed...twice...just parked, waiting for some
large corporation to paint a large ad on that sidepod.
And don't get me started about Tomas. Just when you think he's learned how> to finish a race and I start cheering him on because of his past "bad> luck"...

He will never mature as a driver, but should he accidentally learn to overcome
brain fade, he could be unstoppable. Too bad that will never happen.

I only saw the last 50 laps and it looked like a fuel race but at the end it
was a pretty good street fight for the win.

They are tanks! And look like it too. They could also use a turbo- they
are noticabley slower than a champ car.
Foyt and Patrick don't appear to belong at this level of racing.

What happned to Patrick?
