Tyre Pressure

Hellsbells 15 March 2005 13:10:43
I have just bought a Honda Civic DX (1992 J reg) and I need to know what
the tyre pressure should be. Is there anywhere on the car that I can find
this information? Any advice would be appreciated!

Drivers door post, or glove box.
This is for "stock" tire.

Yes, it is posted on the Driver's Door Jamb. That is open the driver
side door, and look on the jamb, where it closes. Default pressure is
30psi.

Unfortunately it doesn't give the tyre pressure on the drivers door. Thanks
for the default pressure, I will work on that until I can get hold of a
manual.

I think it's on the driver's door frame and in the owner's manual. For
economy, many people add about 5 PSI to the 'suggested' measurement. Be
sure you understand what 'cold pressure' is, or asking is a waste of time.

It's stamped on the sidewall of the tire.

No, that's the MAX pressure of the tire. Not the proper operating pressure
for the vehicle.

indeed. honda know the operating pressure for their vehicles - it's in
the owner manual, in the glove box or on the door frame.
