 So long as there's a mathemematical chance of competitive drivers
becoming champion it remains interesting. Regardless of precedent.

I don't think it's all about which driver wins the championship - that's
just one result. To me, getting there is more than half the fun. If the
rest of the season has only one more race as exciting as Imola it'll be
worth the wait.

Wouldn't it be ironic if this "anti-Ferrari, Formula England" points
system we have, enabled Shooey to keep the championship alive long
enough to take it at the 11th hour which he wouldn't have done under the
old system? ;)

purpose than to elongate the championship contention period.

It would take a brave man to back Alonso ahead of Schumacher, even
after an FA win at the weekend.
